Shopping for the perfect gift is another stress to add to your never-ending to-do list. But as a homeschooling mompreneur with TWO businesses, I know a thing or two about delegating and getting things done. Here’s my gift guide for the stressed-out mompreneur on your list.
Shopping is one of those things that has become so much easier with the help of my friend – Amazon Prime. If you are a mom with mom friends and you need gifts your Mom, Mom-in-Law, Bestie, Sister-in-Law, etc. etc. Do you see the trend? You need gifts for stressed-out Moms because face it, we’re taking care of everyone else and ignore our needs. Help a gal out and help her, help herself. Self-care is this year’s mantra!
Grab your drink of choice and get shopping! And pick something nice for yourself. 🙂
GIVE THE GIFT OF RELAXATION
This essential oil diffuser features a LARGE 500ml water tank (so it lasts 10-16 hours), has 7 different LED light colors, multiple mist modes, as well as a safety auto-switch that prevents it from overheating in case it runs out of water. This essential oil diffuser also functions as a humidifier so I use it to purify the air and it adds moisture to the air when it gets dry in the winter. There are a lot of diffusers on the market and this is one of the name brands that I use and trust. And at a good price so I have them in all the bedrooms. 🙂 Plus I can add different essential oils depending on the benefits I am looking for like help falling asleep or opening up air passages when we’re sick.
I love the wood grain/zen feel of this diffuser! I have one in our family room and my office since it looks prettier. Once you start using diffusers, you won’t stop! The air is purified, smells great and is so much healthier than burning candles. (I never burned candles for almost 9 years while my kids were growing up for fear of knocking it over and starting a fire). This diffuser holds up to 300ml of water and runs 4 – 10 hours. It also has automatic power off when water used up as a safety feature. Pop in some Peppermint essential oil to brighten those eyes before working or to ward off the 4 pm slump.
And to complete the gift of relaxation, you need essential oils! The Introductory Kit includes a 5 mL bottle of dōTERRA’s Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint essential oils. Also included is suggested uses of the oils so you can immediately experience the life-changing benefits of essential oils! You can also message me when you purchase so I can send you my 99 Ways to Use Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint guide so you can really explore what oils can do, from cleaning & cooking to getting rid of headaches and focusing on the work at hand.
This comes highly recommended in Tim Ferris’ book Tools of Titans and if Titans can use it, think of what it can do for a mompreneur! 😉 For back pain sufferers like myself, I am giving this one a try. It promises IMMEDIATE back and neck pain relief in as little as 20 minutes per day. Time to perfect the Pomodoro technique. I often don’t stop to take breaks and this would be perfect for break time. It EFFECTIVELY induces a state of complete relaxation while reducing aches, pain, stress, and tension. RELIEVES not only back, neck, shoulder, and sciatic pain whether mild or chronic, but also relieves headaches. OTHER BENEFITS include improved sleep, circulation, and mood as well an increase in energy levels. Between this mat and the diffuser/essential oil kit combination, the mompreneur on your list should be a new person after just 20 minutes!
While sitting at my desk for long hours, my legs and feet start to ache. This foot massager is designed to soothe foot/heel pain. It refreshes tired, sore, achy feet and promotes better blood flow to enhance overall health. I don’t have one yet, but it’s on my wish list. I can see myself with this under my desk and using it while talking to clients.
Give the Gift of Time
I love giving and receiving Amazon gift cards. I offer them as referral gifts to my biz besties and clients! Amazon has made it so easy to shop at home. It’s is a huge time saver when you have little kids and can’t run to the store. And not only does it save time, but you can also buy yourself exactly what YOU want! No running to the store to return something. Plus you can give them to everyone on your list. You can send them via email to your friends or family far away, or they can send you the cards in a cute decorated box which saves you time from wrapping. It’s the perfect gift all the way around! And you can give them all year round too.
Mompreneurs can always use a second pair of hands to help clear off the to-do list. I can help schedule your Pinterest pins using Tailwind, make social media graphics, or schedule social media posts which are necessary but HUGE time sucks, for example.
Give the Gift of the Right Tools
Trying to do your job without the right tools is frustrating and time-consuming. One of the basic tools every mompreneur needs a Universal 12″ Flexible Cell Phone Tripod. This is perfect for doing Facebook lives or Skype calls with clients. No more propping your phone up on a stack of books!
As a mompreneur myself, I cannot get enough headphones. I tend to alternate between earbuds and over the ear headphones depending on what I need them for. Plus I have been known to lose a pair of earbuds behind. 🙁 These have silicone earbuds for a secure, comfortable fit. I like these for calls with clients and for throwing into my purse.
I love these when I want some peace and quiet. These over the ear headphones block out the world so they are good for work and for relaxation. My kids all have a pair too and they last a long time through being tossed here and there!
I have two things with me at my desk, a water bottle and coffee at all times. I get too involved with work or on the phone and then the coffee ends up cold or the water warm. Not anymore.
I love this one for coffee. Since I am an essential oil user I only use stainless steel and love that it includes a stainless steel straw for when I want to add a drop or two of lemon oil in my tea. And it’s insulated so it stays hot for hours. No more microwaving for me!
This is the new planner I am trying for 2019! The one place for your calendar, goals tracker, and reflection journal. No need for separate journals which is why I love this planner. Writing things down and keeping an eye on your why is motivation is key for a mompreneur and this does it all. This one comes highly recommended by my biz besties so I am giving it a try.
This was just released and may not be available for delivery by Christmas depending on when you order since they did say there was a limited first release. If you keep scrolling, you will see I am a Brendon Burchard fan so when I saw he was releasing this, I preordered ASAP. I don’t know what I will do with 2 planners 🙂 but we’ll see. These are non-dated so I may do something hybrid.
This is a non-dated planner and journal with daily, weekly, and monthly planner pages but with so much more. A journal covers 60 days and will help you increase productivity, set goals, prioritize projects, and create a positive mindset and habits. There are mindset journal prompts, daily goal boxes, evening scorecards, weekly habit assessments, monthly project planning, and proprietary whole life balance sheets. The Planner helps you think more strategically, prioritize like a pro, achieve your goals faster, and become more focused, happy, and productive, what every biz owner needs. And there is a 6 pack available if you want to purchase a whole year’s worth and get all the colors which was what I did!
Give the Gift of Personal Enrichment
It is key to read, meditate, and focus on not only your business goals but your life goals. These are a couple of books that I bought this year that I highly recommend. Although I am a bit old school and prefer a good ol’ paper book, the reality is, I don’t have the time to read a lot. My solution and lifesaver has been Audible.
I listen to books while I am driving (make sure they are kid appropriate, I made that mistake more than once!) or walking on the treadmill. They also have children’s books too so everyone can enjoy an Audible membership (especially on long car rides).
If I REALLY LIKED a book that I listened to, I buy it to highlight and take notes. So this is my short list of MUST reads for this past year.
Starting off with my #1 most recommended book. I found Brendon this year and am a total follower of all his stuff. I listen to his podcasts and watch his videos. If you haven’t heard of him, give him a listen starting with this one…
And then I started listening to his older stuff. I love this one too.
Then I listened to this one. If it gets put on Meghan Markle’s Reading List, it must be good!
I was a follower of James Clear when he first started writing about habits and so when he finally came out with this, I knew it would be good. It just came out in October and I bought it through the presale on Audible, so as soon as it released, it was downloaded to my phone. James gives actionable steps so that you can build long-term habits.
Brene.Brown. Do I need to say more? If she’s writing it, i am reading it. LOVE.THIS.BOOK. And she’s a fellow Houstonian. I would love to meet her at a Starbucks one day!
If you have read Profit First or The Pumpkin Plan, you will love Mike’s latest book that came out in August. I just grabbed this at the library and who wouldn’t like to design their business to run itself?? Looking forward to reading this one and getting some tips for my own business.
Last but not least in my gift guide. This is truly a life-changing book! Everyone needs to read the Miracle Morning. It has made me become so productive in the morning BEFORE my kids wake up. The Miracle Morning will transform your mornings, but this one for entrepreneurs is not just about waking up and being more productive – but also business advice. The Miracle Morning and TMM for Families are good ones to read and make gifts too.
Got all your shopping done? I hope you ordered something for yourself too!
If you happen to be a DIYer and have time to make some homemade gifts for your mom friends, you may enjoy 12 Easy DIY Lip & Body Scrub Recipes which would make great gifts.
And you may find 8 Ways to Increase Productivity & Calm Stress a helpful read too.

Wishing you a happy and stress-free holiday season.
